Galatians 2:20: I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Men and women of our future are the boys and girls of today.
During your upbringing, did you know anyone that was a Christian?
When you looked at them and saw what they were like, what did you think about??
Was their attitude, behavior, nature something that was appealing to you? Did you know Christians that didn’t walk the walk?
They are teaching you what a Christian can be…
In the same nature, we teach those around us what a Christian can be.. Are they going to get a picture of something appealing? What kind of person do others see you as?
Do people around you know you are a Christian?
Why or why not?
What holds you back from being the Christian, that you want to be??? From what God wants you to be?
Ephesians 5:1 - Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
Those of you who are married – it is your calling to lead your wife and your family, just as Christ led the Church.
Some of you are fathers, some of you will be in the future. We as men set the example, starting in the home. In the same way that Christ taught his disciples, you either already do or will teach a captivated child about the life of a Christian. Our children will see us as a model. They see how we treat others, how we speak to others and how we live our lives. How does the way you model, translate into what your children think of you as a Christian or about Christianity in general?
